About Me

Marni Perschnick, LCSW

(she/her)

Psychotherapist, Forest Therapy Guide, Spiritual Director

CA: LCSW116543, NV: 8427-C, ID: LCSW-36384

Since 2014, I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles holding them back in life.

My diverse training as an LCSW, forest therapy guide, Enneagram coach, and interfaith seminarian helps me see you as a whole person- addressing all bio-psycho-social-spiritual aspects of who you are. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship challenges, and faith deconstruction and reconstruction.

Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let's work together to help you develop strategies and move past what is standing in the way of you living the life you want.

In my spare time, I love exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Truckee River, collecting willow and other natural fibers to make nature-inspired crafts, woodburning, carving avocado pits, painting, crocheting and knitting, and spending time with my growing family.

In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.

Forest Therapy Feedback Survey

If you have completed a Forest Therapy Walk with me and would like to give me feedback, please click on the link below

No Surprises Act

As of January 1st, 2022, a legislative package called the No Surprises Act was passed which affects the medical and mental health worlds. It was designed to prevent people from receiving medical treatments mistakenly believing the treatments were covered by their insurance only to find out later that they were not when they receive a large, surprising bill in the mail. As a result of the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to receive a document called a Good Faith Estimate from me at the time that you become my client, and to request an additional Good Faith Estimate at any other time that we are working together.

Since there are no hidden fees in therapy, and the therapy relationship is based on transparency, your Good Faith Estimate will not contain any information that is different from what you will already know about therapy costs at the time that we decide to work together. (I.e., It will be very clear at the outset whether you will be using insurance out of network benefits or not, how much therapy costs, and how payment will work.) And your Good Faith Estimate is not intended to be a recommendation or a prediction of how long you will be in therapy. You are always free to terminate your therapy or to switch to a different practitioner at any time.

Additionally, at any point in our work together, based on what is happening in your life and what you are needing, you may increase to two sessions per week, or decrease to biweekly sessions. Also, if you experience financial difficulties at any time in our work together, we would talk about adjusting your fee within the range of what I can accommodate. Therefore, the estimate provided on your Good Faith Estimate may not end up being the real amount that you ultimately invest in therapy.

Should you decide to become my client, we would discuss all of this and ensure you feel very comfortable with all of the above information and with anything else you may like or need to know about therapy, payment, and what to expect
