Spiritual Integration in Psychotherapy

Therapy That Makes Room for Questions of Meaning

For some people, spirituality is deeply connected to their emotional lives.

For others, it has become a source of confusion, pain, or conflict.

You may be:

  • Questioning beliefs you once held

  • Recovering from harmful religious experiences

  • Exploring spirituality outside of traditional religion

  • Navigating changes in faith or identity

  • Searching for greater meaning or purpose

  • Experiencing a spiritual crisis or transition

  • Trying to reconcile your psychological and spiritual life

  • Wanting a therapist who won't dismiss the importance of spirituality

These conversations can have a meaningful place in psychotherapy.

Your Beliefs Don't Have to Look a Certain Way

You do not need to belong to a particular religion.

You do not need to consider yourself "spiritual."

And you don't need to have answers.

My role is not to tell you what to believe.

Instead, therapy can offer a space to explore the questions, experiences, and beliefs that matter to you.

For some clients, spirituality is central to our work.

For others, it is rarely discussed.

The direction of therapy is guided by your needs and goals.

Psychotherapy and Nonclinical Spiritual Offerings

HeartWoven Wellness may also offer separate spiritual, educational, or community-based experiences.

These offerings are distinct from psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy provided by Marni Perschnick, LCSW is professional mental health treatment provided within the scope of clinical licensure.

Nonclinical spiritual offerings, ceremonies, retreats, educational experiences, or ministry activities do not constitute psychotherapy or mental health treatment.

When working with HeartWoven Wellness, the nature of the service being provided will always be clearly identified.
